Scott spent nearly two decades helping companies design benefits strategies. Over time, he saw that traditional plans weren’t keeping pace with what employees truly valued. When he discovered Bitcoin in 2020, he recognized it as both a disruptive technology and a financial innovation—precisely the kind of breakthrough needed to transform an industry that had been slow to evolve.
Josh had just exited an oilfield services company he founded and moved to Kelowna with his family. After more than 30 years of building businesses, he was looking for a challenge where he could apply that lifelong experience to a new frontier. Meeting Scott provided exactly that. Over coffees, Scott shared his vision for Bitcoin in the workplace, and Josh saw the chance to help turn it into a company.
Together, we launched Block Rewards—combining Scott’s expertise in compensation strategies with Josh’s experience in building and scaling companies. Our mission is simple: make Bitcoin accessible for employers and employees of all sizes.
